Description

This device is used to investigate axial separation and lateral offset of fiber optic connections. The numerical aperture and the acceptance angle can be determined quantitatively with the built-in angular positioner (angular offset). By employing the interchangeable fiber mounts both bare fibers and fibers with FSMA-connectors can be measured.

Technical data

Offset the X- and Y-axis of a fiber each by approx. 8 mm with the micrometer.
Displace the Z-axis using thumb screw.
Equipped with printed scale for quick reading of numerical aperture and acceptance angle with the aid of the fiber's light cone.

Contained within the scope of delivery:

2 fiber mounts for bare PMMA fibers
2 fiber mounts for fibers with FSMA connectors
2 PMMA sections, both ends bare, L = 1 m, D = 2.2 mm
2 PMMA sections, equipped on one end with FSMA connector, L = 1 m, D = 2.2 mm
