Description
Compact spectral photometer for computer-assisted recording of emission spectra and absorption spectra, with cell holder and light source, additional light via freely moveable fibre optic waveguide.
Inside the spectral photometer the light is split up by means of a fixed grating and projected onto a silicon CCD array. The intensity of all wavelengths is measured simultaneously, thus allowing easy measurement even of rapidly changing processes such as flame tests.
The cell holder with integrated light source allows comfortable study of the absorption spectra of liquids.
For absorption measurements first of all a reference spectrum is measured (cell filled with distilled water or something similar), then one of the absorbers to be studied in the light-path, from the ratio the software calculates values such as transmission, absorption, etc.
Due to the high measuring speed even colour change reactions can be studied directly in the cell. Useful, for example, for photometric studies and colour change reactions.
Recording of flame colours or gas discharges via the fibre optic waveguide.
Rapid recording of measured value by means of the CCD array.
