Significance of the stomata

Description

In this experiment, the students find that water evaporates mainly through the stomata of the leaves. They also realise that the stomata are unevenly distributed. These are mainly found on the underside of leaves of terrestrial plants, but on the upper side of free-floating leaves of aquatic plants.
