Description

In this experiment, students use a close meshed transmission grating to determine the wavelength of light emitting diodes of different colours. The "subjective method" is used here to measure the distances between the diffraction maxima. Accordingly, the students look directly through the grating at the light emitting diodes. The distances of the resulting virtual points of the diffraction maxima are measured on a screen with a scale and evaluated.
