Determination of the germ content of banknotes and coins
Determination of the germ content of banknotes and coins

Description

In this experiment, the students determine the bacterial count of banknotes and coins. They use sterile agar plates and learn that bacteria can be transmitted not only directly through skin contact and body fluids, but also indirectly via objects. In addition, this experiment is intended to show that the bacterial count of coin money is lower than that of paper money, since some metals have a bacteriostatic effect.
