Description

Due to the unexpected results, diffraction and interference effects are some of the most impressive phenomena that the students can demonstrate for themselves in the experiment. The single slit offers an easy introduction to the topic. In this experiment the students investigate diffraction at slits of different widths, analyse the diffraction patterns and calculate the slit widths.
