Detection of starch in photosynthesis

Description

In this experiment, the students detect starch in the leaves of a plant, which is made through the process of photosynthesis. To do this, they use iodine-potassium iodide solution and learn that plants use up the stored starch in the dark and can only produce new starch when the sun shines again.
