Description

In this experiment the students analyse the temperature of an ecosystem. They realise that temperature is centrally dependent on location. From this, they can deduce that ecosystems can be very small scale because the temperature can change on a small scale. This experiment is intended to show you a possible application for temperature measurement. You can adapt it as it suits your ecosystem study. In our example, students realise that asphalt dark ground leads to increased air temperature compared to natural grass soil. In this context, global warming can be addressed.
