Inorganic and organic catalysts

LC3.4.2.5
Inorganic and organic catalysts
Inorganic and organic catalysts

Description

In this experiment, the students will learn about an inorganic and an organic catalyst by using an example. The two catalysts have an accelerating effect on the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. Because the catalysed reaction takes place very quickly, the difference between the reaction with and without the catalyst can be easily observed. The catalytic effect is then checked with the glow chip test.
