DVD: The human: The hormone system

DVD with approx. 16 minutes playing time, teacher's booklet, target group: 8th grade and up.
The film describes the function and tasks of the human hormone system in an understandable way. Numerous examples are used to illustrate the sometimes very complex processes:
– regulation of body temperature by the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and thyroid gland,
– regulation of growth by the pituitary gland,
– the role of oestrogen and testosterone in the development from child to adult,
– regulation of blood sugar levels by insulin.
The video uses film sequences, graphics and animations to clearly explain the most important characteristics of the human hormone system.
