Frequency synthesizer
Frequency synthesizer

Description

This device is designed to permit investigations into periodic, non sinusoidal signals (Fourier synthesis). It operates with up to
8 harmonic signal components and one DC component. The amplitude and phase settings are performed in a menue using a microprocessor.
Default signals have already been pre-programmed for demonstration experiments. The arrival of harmonic signals for superpositioning is indicated using LEDs.

Both the complete Fourier signal as well as any random combination of harmonic signals can be tapped at the measurement sockets for display on the oscilloscope. A built-in loudspeaker acoustically reproduces signal changes.

Technical data

  • Base frequency: approx. 108 Hz.
  • Amplitudes: 0...10 V.

  • LC display with indicator for signal shape, amplitude and phase.
  • Default signals: square-wave, triangular, half-wave sinusoidal, full-wave sinusoidal, parabolic, Dirac pulse, beat, sawtooth and three-phase.
  • Supply voltage: ± 15 VDC or alternatively 12 V AC (plug-in power supply)
