LOGO! 8 is the new generation of Siemens logic modules. The trainer package contains six individual systems. LOGO! 8 is a compact, convenient and cost-effective solution for simple control tasks in installation and switch cabinet construction as well as in machine and apparatus construction. The package consists of a LOGO! 8, a DM8 digital module and the LOGO! Soft Comfort V8 software.

The module offers easy handling, a new display and full communication possibilities via Ethernet. It also makes the web server application super simple. Remote communication via mobile radio via a communication module rounds off the spectrum of new opportunities in the use of LOGO!

The logic module is mounted on the front panel by means of a DIN rail. The operator can connect the inputs and outputs to safety sockets via terminal strips. Extensions such as additional digital or analog input and output modules, Asian modules, EIB modules etc. can be mounted on the DIN rail and also connected to safety sockets via terminal strips.

The LOGO! 8 logic module is characterised by the following features:

Simple creation of switching programs by linking finished basic and special functions
Basic functions: AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR
Special functions: switch-on delay, storing switch-on delay, switch-off delay, impulse relay, clock, counter (forwards and backwards), timer
Flexibility through new linking of functions
Power-failure-proof storage of switching program and setpoints (e.g. times) by integrated EEPROM
Integrated Ethernet interface for the entire LOGO! 8 product family. This enables the LOGO! modules to communicate with each other and with all SIMATIC S7 systems via Ethernet.
Convenient backup, duplication and transport of the switching program via an optional program module.
