Description

For demonstrating the Meissner-Ochsenfeld effect, which serves as a simple proof that a material is superconductive.
Liquid nitrogen is used to cool the superconductor to 77 K. When the transition temperature is reached the special permanent magnet (high magnetic field strength at minimum weight) begins to levitate above the superconductor.

Scope of delivery

Superconductor pellet, 4 mm x 23 mm diameter
Special magnets, 4 mm x 10 mm diameter, pair
Dish for liquid nitrogen
Plastic tweezers
