The LEYBOLD® training systems for electromobility are ideal for use in the training of automotive mechatronics technicians of all specializations, but are of course particularly suitable for the specialization "System and high-voltage technology". The teaching systems can also be used excellently in the training of technicians, master craftsmen and engineers.
The focus is on fault finding: the experiments presented are based on the content of the currently valid framework curricula and can be supplemented as required.
With the high-voltage system trainer, it is possible to easily simulate insulation faults in the HV lines and components. This allows systematic fault finding with original workshop measuring instruments to be trained and improved in a targeted manner.
This equipment covers basic experiments on the following topics:
- HV battery and HV vehicle electrical system
- Intrinsic safety through the pilot line and equipotential bonding
- Inverter with HV measuring points
- Measurement option and manipulation of various insulation resistances
- Electric machine connection with measurement option at open cable ends
Hybrid and electric vehicles: training systems for automotive training
The LEYBOLD® training systems for electromobility are ideal for use in the training of automotive mechatronics technicians of all specializations, but are of course particularly suitable for the specialization "System and high-voltage technology". The teaching systems can also be used excellently in the training of technicians, master craftsmen and engineers.
As the electrical system in vehicles has so far been considered largely harmless, awareness of hazardous contact voltages must be raised and new safety measures and procedures must be taught in a targeted manner.
This presents the trade and the automotive mechatronics technician, as well as the instructor, with new challenges in the field of electromobility. It is problematic to have to work on live voltage under real conditions while still ensuring maximum safety for the trainees during lessons.
For this purpose, LEYBOLD® has developed a trainer on which the de-energization of electric vehicles can be practised in a practical manner. The device is suitable both for demonstration by the instructor/teacher and for practical exercises by the trainee/student, e.g. in learning field 11. Technical service companies (e.g. ADAC), inspection bodies (TÜV, Dekra), emergency services (fire brigade, THW) or recyclers can also benefit from this training concept in order to prepare specialists for this innovative segment of automotive technology.

As a supplement, a private charging station is offered, with which the charging process can be followed. As an original charging controller is used, charging states A to F are possible. As no real battery cells are installed in the high-voltage trainer, the charging process can be started or stopped at any time without affecting the functionality of the trainer.
