Description

The silver diamine complex consits of a central silver ion around which ammonia is coordinated as a ligand. The diamine-silver complex arises when ammonia is added to a silver salt solution. Then, the water ligands are replaced by ammonia ligands at the hydrated silver ion because the ammonia ligands have a stronger bond. In experiment C4.2.3.1, the complex formation constant is determined.
