Our ‘KNX Starter Workshop Case’ was developed in collaboration with our partner, a leading manufacturer of building system technology and co-founder of the KNX Association Gira.
The case contains state-of-the-art smart home technology from Gira, which trainees can use to learn how to plan and program smart home systems based on KNX and Gira One in a practical way.
The experiment kit simulates realistic living room scenarios with lighting, heating and blinds, each represented by LEDs.
The installed bus switch switches between the KNX bus and Gira One bus, enabling flexible use in the classroom. Trainees learn to program, analyse and optimise simple infrastructure systems with ETS for KNX or with the Gira Project Assistant (GPA for short).
The KNX system can be programmed with the ETS software (not included) or the GPA (free software-download) for Gira One via the 4-way network sockets and the internally connected POE (Power Over Ethernet) switch. The built-in socket can be used as a power supply for the programming computer.
The case has been developed and designed for optimal use in training. In addition to the high density of state-of-the-art KNX and Gira One technology, the built-in dimmable LED strip can also be used as a workstation lamp, and the dimensions of the case allow a good view of the trainees or teaching staff even during use.
