Description

In experiment P1.6.1.4, a standing rope wave is generated. By moving one end of a rope up and down and fixing the other end, the wave is reflected there and travels back along the rope. In this way, certain points (nodes) of the rope remain at rest, while others (antinodes) oscillate back and forth with large amplitude.
