COM4LAB Protoboard, set FM-radio
Article not yet available!
Description
The Radio Receiver Set is a supplement to the COM4LAB Protoboard III for the hands-on construction of an FM radio. The experiments progress from the basics of individual components to a complete superheterodyne receiver. The central component is the TDA7088 receiver IC, which converts the received signals to an unusually low intermediate frequency of about 70 kHz and therefore requires no aligned coils; station tuning is performed by a capacitance (varactor) diode and audio amplification by an LM386. The breadboard, LEDs and potentiometers are provided by the Protoboard. Together with the COM4LAB Master Unit, all signal stages can be made visible with the oscilloscope and multimeter and faults investigated systematically.
