The flexible development and learning platform for electronics and microcontrollers
The Protoboard III expands the COM4LAB Master Unit into a complete development environment for electronic circuits.
The enlarged breadboard with 1 mm contacts provides significantly more space than its predecessor and allows clear, complex setups.
-
Integrated LEDs make signal and switching states directly visible.
-
Buttons on the board enable the targeted implementation of logic, control and user functions.
-
A slot for Arduino Uno enables entry into microcontroller technology.
-
In addition, the Protoboard III is ideal for developing custom peripherals, connecting sensors, actuators and control systems, as well as for freely assembled THT circuits.
Protoboard III directly links theory and practice.
Learners build circuits themselves, measure real signals and analyse their behaviour. A particular highlight is the construction of a functional AM and FM radio receiver. Individual components and modules form a working device – a lasting experience for pupils and students that strengthens motivation and understanding.
Learning objectives and curriculum relevance:
Learners apply fundamental principles of electrical engineering in practice and deepen their understanding through measurements and experiments.
-
In DC technology, Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits, and voltage dividers are built and analysed.
-
In AC technology, learners analyse RC and RL circuits, filter effects and phase shifts.
-
In semiconductor technology, diode, transistor and operational amplifier circuits are tested in practice.
-
In digital technology, logic circuits with gates, flip-flops and counters are created, controlled via buttons and visualised using LEDs.
-
The transition to microcontroller technology is seamless via Arduino and custom expansion circuits.
Target groups:
-
Technically interested pupils in STEM subjects
